Savoury vegetable Tofu pancake
This recipe is for a little snack, for one serving with a salad…etc
Soy beans often form an important part of any diet for vegans. Tofu is a favourite asian food, You can make a lot of different dishes with it.
Tofu is a soybean curd. It is made from soy beans. There are 2 different types of tofu which are ” Silken tofu (soft tofu) ” and ” Extra firm tofu ”
材料
- ・1 package Silken tofu
*Extra firm tofu give more texture in the pancake, you can use which ever you like. - ・4 Tbsp Corn flour
- ・1/2 Tbsp shoyu
- ・1/2 cup corn
*any kind of vegetables are a substitute for the corn - ・1/4 cup Edamame beans
- ・1/4 Tbsp Soy sauce
- ・1 Tbsp sesame oil or olive oil

- ・1 Tbsp shoyu
- ・1 Tbsp mirin
*one pinch of sugar is a substitute for the mirin - ・1 Tbsp water
つくり方
- Put the Tofu on a large plate, Put something heavy such as a chopping board, weight it down further with cans and jars, and leave for 30 mins.
Point
Pressing tofu is a technique to remove any excess water out of silken tofu
- Put the tofu in a bowl, crush it with a whisk until become smooth.
- Add the corn flour, mix well
- Add the edamame and corn into the mixture, mix well
- Heat large frying pan over medium heat, then coat with sesame oil or olive oil. Saute
- When hot, cook your pancakes for 3min on each side until golden
- Pour the sauce ingredients mixture into the pan, shake and mix them thoroughly (in the pan), then it’s done.
